RYA Day Skipper Practical Course

Overview:
This is a 5 day course, where you will experience living on board and getting to know the yacht.
Your experienced instructor will ensure that you cover the RYA syllabus, whilst enjoying life on the water and visiting nearby French ports and the other Channel Islands.

Previous experience for Day Skipper:
You should already know how to sail and have logged:
- 5 days on board a yacht
- 100 nautical miles
- 4 night hours
Assumed knowledge for Day Skipper:
Your knowledge of IRPCS, navigation and meteorology must be the standard of RYA Day Skipper shore based theory course or equivalent course.
Completing the RYA Day Skipper Practical Course equips you with the skills and confidence to skipper a small yacht in familiar waters by day. This certification also facilitates the application for the International Certificate of Competence (ICC), which is recognised in many European countries for yacht ownership and chartering.
